Matter of time.
I don't teach this because I read about it. I teach it because I had to learn it from the bottom, twice.

Jerome Snowden Jr. — Founder, Mei Compos
I've been homeless. I've been shot. There was a stretch where I had no job and nowhere to turn, and I lost everything I had.
What I found out is that when you're rebuilding, the first thing people decide about you happens before you say a word. Not your work ethic. Not your character. How you look, how you stand, how you sound. That's the door. If it's shut, nothing else you have gets seen.
So I worked on the door. I paid attention to how I dressed and how I carried myself when I had almost nothing to dress in. I learned to talk to people. And things started opening — work, respect, rooms I hadn't been in before. I won art shows. I designed shows. I made lead in my trade.
Then people started asking me. How do I look for this interview. What do I wear to this. Why do I keep getting passed over. I answered those questions for free for years before it occurred to me that it was a job.
"It can be imitated. It can possibly be replicated. But it will never be duplicated."
Master of oneself.
That's what the name means. I'm not trying to make you need me. You should be able to do this without me in a year. Appearance is where we start because it changes fastest and it buys you belief. Then we do the harder parts.
Five things I don't move on.
- 01
Honest first
I'll tell you the truth about how you present. Flattery has never changed anybody. If you want someone to agree with you, I'm the wrong person.
- 02
Master of yourself
That's what the name means. I'm not trying to make you need me. You should be able to do this without me in a year.
- 03
Communication fixes it
Ninety-nine percent of problems — at work, at home, on a date — come down to something that didn't get said right.
- 04
Family standard
I treat clients the way I'd treat family. Patient, loyal, and honest enough to say the thing nobody else will.
- 05
Leave them better
Paid or not, every conversation should end with you better off than you started it.
A stronger presence. A lasting standard.
Mei Compos is about more than how you look. It’s about presenting yourself with intention, communicating with confidence, and building habits that support the person you want to become.
My vision is to build a legacy for my family by helping you take ownership of how you show up — for yourself, for the people who count on you, and for your future.
Let's work together.
You'll get three honest things about how you come across, whether or not you ever pay me. Worst case, you learn something.
